Mrs. Barbara Ann "Barb" (Paull) Elden, 74, of 130 South Broad Street, Waynesboro, PA, passed away peacefully at home with family by her side on Thursday, July 19, 2012 following a short illness.

Born July 5, 1938 in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Milton and Evelyn Louise (Martin) Paull.

Mrs. Elden was a graduate of Waynesboro Area Senior High School with the Class of 1956 where she was a member of the cheerleading squad.

She and her husband of over 56 years, Mr. William D. "Bill" Elden, were married June 10, 1956. They had lived at their present residence for the past 56 years.

Mrs. Elden was employed at Brake Pontiac, for Dr. Wolfinger, Waynesboro Tax Office and Office Essentials, all of Waynesboro. She currently was employed at James Shoes, Waynesboro.

She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Waynesboro where she served as an Elder, Sunday school teacher, Kindergarten Teacher and played in the Bell Choir.

Mrs. Elden also served as a volunteer at local election polls.

She enjoyed knitting, doing crossword puzzles, and she was an avid reader, especially reading her Bible and reading on her kindle. Mrs. Elden also enjoyed Baltimore Orioles baseball, college basketball, and watching nascar races.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by four daughters, Nancy Wagaman and her husband, Kurt and Patricia Crilley and her husband, William, both of Waynesboro, Jeanne Pittman and her husband, Rick of Willow Hill, PA and Elaine Wishard and her husband, Barry of Waynesboro; ten grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, July 23, 2012 in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 South Broad Street, Waynesboro with Pastor Christine Callaway officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, Monday morning, in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Presbyterian Church of Waynesboro, 105 East Main Street, Waynesboro PA 17268.
